Early in the game, Christchurch Sec were unable to cope with the ferocity of Bowen's attacks which made full use of the flanks, ably manned by Muhd Afiq on the right and Rafid Khan on the left. It was not long before the inevitable happened. 4 minutes in, Bullets Muhd Danial was given time and space to guide the ball into the Christchurch goalmouth from 25m out.

The onslaught did not stop as the Bullets continued to pile on the pressure that ultimately caused Christchurch to concede a soft second goal in the 16th min. Bullets Rafid Khan's header off a cross from right-back Adrian Sim bounced off the ground and sneaked into an empty net. Bullets striker Javier Ho added a third goal in the 22nd min, after a series of quick wall passes and a lucky deflection ended with the ball falling at his feet in the penalty box. After rounding the goalkeeper, all he had to do was walk the ball into goal.

2 minutes later, Muhd Danial made it 4-0, following up on a blocked shot in the penalty box. He completed his hat-trick in the 35th min, assisted by Javier's stiff cross into the box.
Christchurch regrouped in the 2nd half and managed to prevent the Bullets from scoring again, showing grit and determination to redeem themselves from their dismal first-half showing. Even then, they conceded a penalty in the 55th min but Javier Ho placed the ball too near the goalkeeper. With the game in the pocket, Bullets coach Lim took the opportunity to rest several key players and give debuts to Damien Se, Markus Lam and Muhd Hakim.

The victory means that the Bowen Bullets have qualified for the 2nd round of the competition for the 2nd consecutive year. Their last match of the first round against Punggol Sec next Monday will decide whether the Bullets end up as group C winners.
