Bowen Bullets Boys start off campaign with a sluggish draw

Bowen B Div Boys played out a worrying 3-3 draw with Greendale Secondary this afternoon at Punggol Secondary School.

Right from the first minute, Greendale Sec camped in their own half, refusing to press forward, relying on rare counter-attacks from which they scored all their 3 goals. The Bullets went ahead in the 16th min when centre-back Muhd Akmal surged into the box to tap home a Muhd Danial free-kick. Danial himself doubled the goal tally 4 mins later by converting left-winger Rafid's low cross into the box.

In the 27th min, Bullets custodian Rozaini, then fumbled a seemingly harmless cross into his own net, giving the Greendale boys much needed encouragement.

The second half saw two well-taken goals from Greendale who launched quick counter-attacks on both occasions, taking advantage of some slack marking by the Bullets. Bullet striker Javier Ho then saved the Bullets' blushes by slotting in an equaliser in the 72nd min.
